Hello my dears,
well, this was quicker than I thought, just five days and the
online album was finished 🙂
It was a great trip and a well deserved vacation after some
hard years…
We decided to go first to Medellin to see an old friend who has
returned from Germany after almost 40 years to retire in his
town of birth. Recommended by our daughter Camila we spent
some days in Guatapé near Medellín which turned out to be
otherworldly….
After that we went back to Medellin to see our old friend Mario
and his friends ( whom we met in Vienna before ) to celebrate
the 68th birthday of your´s truly.
In spite of Maria Nelly´s concerns I insisted to hit the road
( and not the clouds ) to Cali through spectacular colombian
landscapes. In Cali we met all the family members including
the one´s who had already left this world….
We went to Maria Nelly´s sister´s and husband´s finca and we
made it to her place of birth, Ginebra, Valle, about an hour from
Cali to visit family members there and, as mandatory, we had a
traditional ( and glorious ) family lunch with „Sancocho de Gallina“.
We enjoyed it very much and, as you can imagine, my camera was
quite busy….

p.d.: this time there are a number of female admirers who´s English
is not quite as perfect, so I decided to split the (carefully crafted)
subtitles. Spanish, if you move the courser over the thumbnail and

p.p.d: It wasn´t five, it was eight days…forgive me, something didn´t
work with the sequence of the photos, especially at the end. I tried
hard but eventually I gave up.
